About the Role: Join Merit Technologies as a Comptroller in Greenville, SC, and play a crucial role in managing our financial operations. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the financial health of a dynamic tech company that values innovation and integrity.

Financial Oversight:

Manage and oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.

Develop, implement, and monitor annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP or relevant standards.

Audit and Compliance:

Coordinate internal and external audits; ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.

Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial processes.

Policy Development:

Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, and systems to support sound financial management.

Supervise and mentor accounting and finance staff, promoting professional development and high performance.

Present financial results and analysis to senior leadership, board members, and other stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred)

CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred

7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including management roles

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance
