Electrical Engineering- Senior

This is a full-time position in our design engineering team, responsible for the electrical design and development of both prototype and production units across the entire product portfolio—from concept and detailed design through manufacturing release and support of Heads Up Technologies, Inc. products and systems.

You’ll be a hands‑on designer who can also provide technical leadership on complex projects, collaborating closely with mechanical, software, and FPGA engineering teams.

Work Days and Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Location: This is a full‑time onsite position located in Addison, TX.

Work Eligibility: Must be a United States citizen.

What you’ll do Own detailed electrical design work including analog & digital design.

Plan and execute design verification and validation activities, including board bring‑up, troubleshooting, and performance characterization.

Perform highly accelerated life testing (HALT), environmental qualification testing (DO‑160G), etc.

Take electrical lead on specific projects following department processes and standards and ensure that designs meet internal, customer, and functional requirements including schedule commitments.

Work closely with mechanical, software, and FPGA engineers to create integrated, multidisciplinary solutions.

Conceive, research, and implement engineering design changes yielding improvements in manufacturability and robustness in coordination with sustaining engineering team.

Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent.

Eight (8) or more years of electrical design experience.

Strong background in analog and digital circuit design, including microcontrollers, processors, and/or DSP‑based designs.

Experience with network/Ethernet designs and common communication interfaces (e.g., to electrical designs.

Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with embedded software design (C, assembly, etc.).

Experience with circuit simulation and analysis (LTspice, PSpice, etc.).

Experience with RTCA DO-160G environmental and electrical qualification or similar aerospace standards.

FPGA/ASIC design experience (will be required to use Xilinx FPGAs & toolset).
