LVN - Occupational Health Clinic

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing health services to students, conducting state‑mandated screenings, maintaining 100% immunization compliance, managing clinic operations for up to 1,600 students, and promoting health education.

All clinic staff report to the campus Assistant Principal of Operations. Medical and compliance matters are directed to the Director of Health and Wellness.

Hourly rate: $23.03-$28.78 depending on experience.

Performance bonus based on team performance and goal attainment.

Tuition reimbursement: up to 50% of qualifying degrees, capped at $5,250 per year.

Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR.

Knowledge of diabetic care management.

Proficient in keyboarding, electronic file maintenance, and laptop/software use for databases and word processing.

Ability to track, enter, analyze, and monitor data.

High School diploma or GED.

LVN or LPN licensure.

Current certification in CPR/AED/First Aid.

Certification by state health department to conduct vision, hearing, spinal, and AN screenings (preferred).

2+ years’ experience in a health‑related position.

Experience with school‑age children (preferred).

Experience maintaining electronic health records (preferred).

Accountabilities - Health Services

Provide direct care using triage skills, basic care, and school health protocols.

Manage campus clinic independently, serving up to 1,600 students.

Advocate for student health.

Ensure student compliance with state immunization requirements.

Serve as liaison among school, physicians, parents, and community.

Assess student problems and refer appropriately with staff and health professionals.

Participate in health committees focused on student wellness.

Collaborate on health‑related IEP items.

Recognize and report suspected child abuse.

Communicate regularly with school and district staff on health issues.

Collect, review, and enter immunization records; Request supplies and equipment for clinic inventory.

Comply with federal, state, board, and district health policies.

Report potential health and safety hazards to campus assistant principal.

Maintain LPN/LVN licensure.

Maintain CPR/First Aid certification and state‑approved health screener certifications.
