Job Summary Ambulatory and Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) - Department 08672 AMG 811 W Wellington - Part time (20 hours per week). Schedule: Every Friday 10am - 5pm; Second Tuesday of each month 1pm - 5pm; Second Thursday 10am - 5pm; 1st, 3rd, and 4th Thursday 10am - 3pm. Pay range: $35.50 - $53.25. Benefits Eligible: Yes.
The RN provides high‑quality, patient‑centered care through evidence‑based practice, clinical expertise, and compassionate delivery in an ambulatory care setting. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, advocates for patient needs, and upholds professional standards to promote optimal health outcomes.
Qualifications Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.
Typically requires 1year of experience in clinical nursing.
Experience working with pediatrics and neurodiverse patient populations (preferred).
Familiar with patients recovering from sedation and/or general anesthesia (preferred).
Responsibilities Coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Use evidence‑based practice, clinical decision‑making, compassion, and strong communication skills while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience across the continuum.
Support monitoring and recovery of patients prior to discharge.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and advocate for patient needs.
Physical Requirements Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, twist, lift and support 35lb weight in handling patients and supplies, push/pull with 30lb force, perform a sliding transfer of 150lb with a second person present, use fine hand manipulation for IV insertion and other procedures, maneuver foot pedals, perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de‑escalation, and may be exposed to hazardous waste and communicable disease. Protective clothing and equipment must be used as necessary.
