The Maverick Power Receiving/Material Handler will receive and unload freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks; verifies quantity and quality of order; wraps, packages, and ships supplies; delivers and retrieves supplies to and from work or storage areas; stocks shelves and rotates inventory; may receive, store, and ship flammable, explosive or caustic and hazardous material; may assemble and move furniture; may maintain equipment and vehicles.

Check incoming deliveries to make sure all ordered material meets quality standards.

Load and unload packages.

Organize stock in the most efficient way using forklifts, pallets, etc.

Pull material to fulfill orders properly.

Wrap orders and place them on trucks for delivery.

Monitor inventory levels and suggest new orders when needed.

Document orders, materials, and any stock movements.

Communicate, interact and build internal and external customer relationships supporting Maverick Power’s culture.

Keep inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.

Open containers, sort, and catalog materials.

Participate in physical inventories of warehouse and/or supply yard.

Maintain inventory records by adding or deleting supplies as they are shipped or received.

Operate a personal computer to access, enter, and correct information.

Answer phone and provide information using customer service skills.

May prepare or communicate with Buyer’s damage claims for supervisor’s review and signature.

Knowledge of inventory control.

Ability to lift heavy materials.

Availability to occasionally work overtime.

High school diploma or GED.

Bonus Qualifications

Previous stock or inventory experience a plus.

Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack a plus.

May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings.
