Weekend A PCU RN

Shift: 19:00 - 07:00, Every other weekend required.

Job Description
The Critical Care Stepdown Registered Nurse will provide patient care to adult and geriatric populations in a 31-bed unit. The position requires proficiency in managing cardiac drips, chest tubes, and familiarity with advanced medical equipment.

Responsibilities

Monitor and assess patient conditions in stepdown settings.

Administer medications, including cardiac drips, and manage chest tubes.

Utilize medical equipment such as Baxter IV pumps and epidural pumps as necessary.

Ensure efficient documentation using Meditech EHR.

Collaborate with the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a critical care stepdown or PCU environment.

Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.

ADN or BSN degree from an accredited institution.
