Healthcare Security Officer

Supports safety and security operations through patrols, monitoring, access control, and customer assistance, adapting to site-specific requirements and client expectations. Compensation: $17.32/hr

Responsibilities include maintaining the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, and its patients and visitors, serving as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property, and providing supervision for at-risk patients in the hospital environment. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications include a completed high school diploma or GED, ability to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications, strong vision abilities, ability to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs., help restrain or lift a person, valid driver's license and ability to meet Tarian's company driving guidelines if applicable, previous work experience with the public in a service setting.

Physical demands include sitting, standing, and walking for variable amounts of time throughout an assigned shift; using hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reaching with hands and arms; climbing stairs; occasionally stooping, kneeling, or crouching; lifting and/or moving objects 25 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Frequently engages in mental concentration, analysis, and formulation.
