Qualifications
As our Psychiatric RN, you'll play an essential role in supporting the mental health and well-being of patients by:
Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and ongoing evaluations
Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
Providing therapeutic interventions and psychoeducation
Facilitating individual and group counseling focused on coping skills, substance use, trauma, anger management, and emotional wellness
Collaborating with medical providers, nursing staff, correctional officers, and community resources to coordinate patient care
Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
Monitoring patient progress and making appropriate treatment recommendations
Supporting discharge planning and referrals for continued care upon release
Staying current on best practices in behavioral health and correctional healthcare
What You'll Bring Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado Minimum of 2 years of psychiatric nursing experience Experience caring for patients with behavioral health diagnoses including substance use disorders, personality disorders, mood disorders, and psychosis Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills Ability to remain calm, professional, and compassionate in a structured environment Correctional healthcare experience is preferred but not required
