Registered Nurse Weekend Emergency Department Night Shift

Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in both Pediatric and Adult emergency nursing, with the ability to float between different areas within the emergency department as needed.
Shift and Scheduling

Shift Length: 12 hours
Evening and Night shifts available
Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per month
Holiday Requirement: Expected to work holidays unless scheduled off
Unit Information

Unit Type: Emergency Room
Total Beds: 36 treatment areas in the Adult ER; 12 treatment areas in the Pediatric ER
Approximately 325 visits per day across both ERs

ICU: 1:2

Pediatrics: 1:4
Adults: 1:4
In-house security is available
Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
Significant Pediatric ER experience for those floating to the Peds ER
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will deliver critical care to patients presenting with various diagnoses, ranging from minor injuries to severe, life-threatening conditions. Managing a diverse patient population, including pediatric and adult patients
Ensuring clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Administering medication and documenting care accurately
Technology and Equipment

Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner
Utilization of advanced respiratory therapy equipment, including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen
Collaboration with respiratory therapists for ABGs and breathing treatments
Floating: Must be willing to float to the Pediatric ER
