Janitor Position at RWB Thrift
As a Janitor at RWB Thrift, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of our thrift store. Your responsibilities will include cleaning and sanitizing various areas such as the sales floor, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas. You will also empty trash bins and recycling containers, ensuring proper disposal and separation of waste materials. Additionally, you will retrieve shopping carts or baskets from store entrances or parking areas and return them to designated locations for customer use, contributing to a positive shopping experience.
Clean and sanitize various areas of the thrift store, including the sales floor, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas
Empty trash bins and recycling containers, ensuring proper disposal and separation of waste materials
Retrieve shopping carts or baskets from store entrances or parking areas and return them to designated locations for customer use
Maintain cleanliness and organization in all assigned areas throughout the shift
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous thrift, retail, warehouse, or customer facing experience is preferred, but not required
Ability to safely perform job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting both qualitative and quantitative productivity requirements.
Capable of maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces, as well as maintaining balance when performing agile tasks.
Visual acuity: The work environment is noisy due to the bustling activity on the sales floor and the production area. Due to the nature of our operations, the ability to work effectively in a noisy environment is a requirement for this role.

The role involves regular interactions with customers, donors, and coworkers, fostering a collaborative and customer-focused environment. Language requirements:
