Associate Buyer, Retail Stores

Associate Buyer, Retail (Kipling) We are looking for an organized individual with strong business acumen and passion for product to support Kipling’s retail merchandising strategy across channels.

Responsibilities Assist in curating a balanced and compelling product assortment that is consumer‑centric and aligns with seasonal financial strategies to achieve financial targets.

Conduct weekly sales analysis and seasonal hindsight analysis to identify opportunities and risks and recommend actionable strategies.

Present in weekly business meetings, seasonal hindsight meetings, and final buy reviews to the leadership team.

Manage day‑to‑day buying responsibilities: purchase order creation, promotion execution, SKU maintenance, sample coordination, and product deliveries for floor sets.

Partner with cross‑functional teams to support accurate and timely execution of floor sets, product launches, and key initiatives.

Utilize buying assortment tools to ensure a balanced assortment strategy, optimizing SKU count and maximizing productivity.

Partner with Planning to support sales forecasting, inventory modeling, and trend analysis.

Create analysis to measure promotional performance and analyze consumer purchasing behaviors by region.

Learn and utilize buying systems and tools to support daily business needs.

Build strong relationships with store teams and cross‑functional partners to support seamless execution.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred; minimum 2+ years in associate retail buying or associate merchandising.

Strong knowledge of retail math.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Power BI knowledge is a plus.

Comfortable juggling multiple projects with competing priorities.
