Location: Columbia, MO

Pay Rate: $28/hr

Employment Type: Contingent with potential pathway for hire

Schedule: Varied 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM

What You'll Do

Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients

Collect, process, and prepare clinical and forensic specimens for laboratory testing according to established procedures

Verify patient demographic information and ensure specimen labeling accuracy through proper documentation and patient confirmation

Maintain required records and documentation while adhering to confidentiality standards

Travel between multiple patient service centers and physician office locations as needed to support staffing requirements

Provide exceptional customer service while creating a professional and reassuring environment for patients

Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment

Perform daily responsibilities accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision

What We're Looking For

A current, up-to-date resume

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections

Minimum of 2 years of Patient Service Center experience preferred

Medical assistant, paramedic, or other medical training preferred

Phlebotomy certification preferred

Strong specimen collection, processing, and documentation skills

Excellent customer service and patient communication skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record

Flexibility to travel between locations and adapt to changing staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call assignments, and overtime as needed

Keyboard and data entry proficiency

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment

Ability to meet compliance requirements
