The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Electronics Engineer- GS-0855-13 to work for the 81st EWS, located at Robins AFB, GA..
This position will provide professional and scientific expertise in performance of work requiring the application of engineering, mathematics, statistical analysis, modeling/simulation, and/or other scientific principles, methods, and techniques. Applies cross-functional knowledge in the planning, research, designs, development, test, evaluation, integration, acquisition, dissemination, sustainment, modification, and/or exploitation of complex system to support the organizations mission objectives.
The ideal candidate possesses advanced knowledge of Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO), radio frequency (RF) engineering, and communications systems supporting joint and multi-domain operations. The successful candidate demonstrates expertise in RF data links, electromagnetic spectrum analysis, and machine-to-machine (M2M) communications that support the rapid exchange of information between sensors, platforms, and weapon systems. Relocation/Recruitment Incentives may be offered.

Position is designated special-sensitive and requires a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance.
This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. It is required that you (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing.
The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments. The work requires the incumbent to be subject to recall during non-duty hours, weekends, and holidays to complete proposals and/or resolve software problems.
The work requires the incumbent to be subject to temporary and permanent shift changes.
Incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required certification/recertification for this position.
Incumbent should have competency with computer systems and programs such as Outlook, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Position requires a professional engineering degree at the bachelor's level from an ABET accredited institution is required. Professional knowledge of engineering, mathematics, statistical analysis, modeling/simulation, software development and/or other scientific concepts, principles, standards, methods, techniques, practices, and procedures.
Knowledge and understanding of agency, AF, Department of War (DOW) and national-level doctrine, regulations, policies, guidelines, requirements, and initiatives related to assigned program(s) and/or project(s).
Knowledge of security procedures to maintain control of classified material.
