FREE Foundation for Rehabilitation Equipment & Endowment
The Foundation for Rehabilitation Equipment & Endowment (F.is a volunteer‑led 501(c)(3) non‑profit organization based in Virginia. Dedicated to empowering the lives of low‑income, uninsured, or under‑insured adults, F.E. collects, sanitizes, and gifts mobility‑related rehabilitation equipment to those in need. E. helps individuals regain independence and achieve a higher quality of life.
The organization also plays a significant role in reducing overall healthcare costs in Virginia. Our mission is to provide mobility equipment that maximizes functional independence, ensuring that every individual has access to essential resources for rehabilitation.
Provides front line contact and resource information to the community as a representative of the Foundation for Rehabilitation Equipment and Endowment by implementing a wide range of clerical, communicative and organizational responsibilities.
Intake client requests, prepares client files, match equipment appropriately. Arrange for equipment pick‑ups and distributes equipment/information sheets to individuals.
Corresponds with community (i.e. emails letters to clients, area professionals, to other organizations, thank you letters, etc.) Maintains, organizes, and secures client records and filing system for confidential office use.
Enters data (i.e. clients served, inventory, etc.) to be used for reporting information to the community by Executive Director, COO monthly.

Performs Outcome calls to clients to survey their status and satisfaction of F.Community outreach events and web meetings, to share our services with other agencies as well as making new collaborative contacts.
Collect donated equipment from the community and/or Goodwill.
Process equipment by cleaning, sanitizing, and inspecting donated equipment before gifting.
Ensure proper functioning of equipment before gifting.
Utilize Hub Scrub and Steamer for equipment cleaning.
Personal skills and attributes: Must be professional and understand positive communication when working with the community and those with disabilities.
Must be highly flexible, a team player, timely, and dedicated to caring for those with disabilities.
Minimum Qualifications: Education: Minimum high school graduate or equivalent required.
Experience: Previous experience with clerical focus is preferred.
Licenses, Certifications: None required for application.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Ability to work with the public, especially those with disabilities required.
Clear communication, organizational and time management skills required.
Strong Computer skills with advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
Demonstrate behaviors, which reflect values conducive to the sensitivity, physical needs, anxieties, and concerns of those with a disability.
