Registered Nurse - Surgical Trauma Nights

As an Advanced Clinical Nurse , you’ll play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality, age-specific care while partnering closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to drive exceptional patient outcomes.

Deliver comprehensive, age-appropriate nursing care across the continuum

Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care

Identify nursing diagnoses and proactively address patient needs

Delegate care appropriately in alignment with Valleywise Health policies

Serve as a patient advocate and educator , empowering individuals and families

Provide guidance and indirect supervision to ancillary staff

Participate in team-building initiatives and quality improvement efforts

Promote cost-effective, evidence-based, and meaningful care in a diverse healthcare environment

Contribute to quality improvement, innovation, and nursing best practices

Hourly Pay Rate: $35.52 - $52.39

The night shift pay differential will be paid at 18% of the employee's base rate of pay. The weekend shift pay differential will be paid at 8% of the employee's base rate of pay.

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing.

Must have at least one (1) year of recent acute care hospital RN experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities; or if completed the New Grad RN program at Valleywise Health then must have at least one (1) year of Valleywise Health experience as a RN and be in good standing.

Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license, temporary AZ RN license, or valid compact RN licensure for current state of practice.

Must be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing.

Requires a BLS card obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.

Surgical Trauma: Must have ACLS upon hire or transfer.

Bilingual is preferred.

Must have excellent communication, time management and customer service skills.

Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g. formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches, etc.) to be able to successfully navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer.

Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
