Field Cost Engineer

As a Field Cost Engineer, you will report to the Project Manager and/or Senior Project Engineer on a prominent transportation project in downtown Los Angeles, CA. Your role involves performing routine and non-routine cost/estimating assignments that require the application of resource monitoring and control principles, techniques, and technical knowledge of construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of project reports.

Perform budget analysis and cost estimating for construction projects.

Coordinate with the operations team on design-bid-build projects to support the development of cost and schedule proposals.

Solicit subcontractor and vendor quotations and prepare change order document packages.

Evaluate and analyze subcontractor and vendor proposals to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.

• Working knowledge of resource monitoring and control techniques, such as cost accounting and budget analysis.
• Commitment to safety and quality, with knowledge of construction safety and current federal & OSHA requirements.

Experience with government projects is a plus.

Familiarity with sitework, concrete, utilities, systems, or rail is advantageous.

Strong work ethic and motivation to deliver high-quality work.

Candidates local to Los Angeles, California preferred.

The position is based in an onsite office with a team-oriented culture. The dress code is business casual, and the work hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

This is a Permanent position based out of Rancho Cascades, CA.
