Job Description

This role involves a variety of responsibilities primarily focused on patient care. The successful candidate will:

Assess patient needs based on collected data, including medical history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic information.

Provide age-appropriate nursing interventions aligned with the established plan of care and nursing standards.

Foster a caring and respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors.

Utilize health and safety equipment effectively to ensure the well-being of both patients and staff.

Implement standard work practices related to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.

Contribute to departmental performance by mentoring and precepting novice employees.

Engage in hospital-system initiatives that promote Evidence Based Practices in nursing.

Demonstrate ongoing professional development through goal setting and participation in educational opportunities.

Be flexible to float and assist in similar units as required.

Perform all other assigned duties as needed.

Unit Description

This position is in a robust Labor and Delivery unit. We are seeking experienced nurses willing to work night shifts. Talent will be scheduled for 3 twelve-hour shifts per week and will also be required to take 4 twelve-hour on-call shifts over a 6-week period.

Qualifications

Active nursing license required.

Certification in Nursys and License/Certificate Verification is required for onboarding.

Completion of health history requirements including MMR, Hepatitis B, and Varicella.

Recent negative PPD test or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) results are mandatory.

Possession of a valid Driver's License or State ID is necessary.

Additional Requirements

McLeod Profile and Skills Checklist completion required.

McLeod Drug Screen and Criminal Background Check must be successfully completed as part of the onboarding process.
