Requirements

• Minimum 2 years RN experience
• Travel experience required
• Telemetry / step-down experience required
• Cardiac telemetry and EKG/dysrhythmia interpretation experience
• Required: ACLS, BLS
• Pending license accepted (per location rules)

- Key clinical skills:

• Telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
• Cardiac drip experience / post-cardiac procedure care
• Management of central lines/PICCs/ports and post-procedure monitoring
• Respiratory support: HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP familiarity
• Relias EKG assessment required

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a telemetry/step-down unit.
• Monitor cardiovascular status of patients and interpret EKG readings.
• Administer medications and intravenous therapies as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.

Compliance / Notes

• RTO: Maximum 7 days per 13-week contract (no RTO allowed first week). All RTO must be finalized at time of submission.
• Local rule: No local candidates within a 75-mile radius.
• Compliance deadline: 3pm CST on the Monday before start date.
• Labs: Required within 48-72 hours of signing.
• Modules: Pre-start modules required.
• Vaccines: COVID-19 vaccine not required; Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed).
