Integrity.Position OverviewThe Supervising Psychiatrist provides psychiatric oversight and clinical governance for Thompson's North Carolina programs.This role is administrative and supervisory in nature and is designed to complement a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) who is responsible for day-to-day psychiatric care.The Medical Director ensures:Clinical quality and complianceAppropriate treatment approachesOversight of high-risk casesAlignment with evidence-based psychiatric practicesAdministrative requirements are complete for medical necessity documentationSchedulePart Time (Up to 12 hours per week)Flexible / hybrid structure depending on operational needsParticipation in key meetings (virtual or onsite as needed)Rotating on call after hours coverage with Psychiatric NPWhat does this position offer?Starting Pay Range: $150.00-$250 hourlyMinimum Qualifications/Requirements:Medical Degree (MD or DO)Board Eligible or Board Certified Psychiatrist in North CarolinaActive NC medical licenseEnrolled and in good standing with NC MedicaidExperience in psychiatric care (child/adolescent experience preferred)Valid driver's licenseAbility to meet credentialing and privileging standardsStrong verbal and written communication skillsNote: All residential staff must pass a Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training and demonstrate proper physical Therapeutic techniques and holds.You're the right fit for the Medical Director position if…You have a passion for working with youth & adolescents!You enjoy knowing you're making an IMPACT on the lives of others!Excellence, Innovation, Commitment, Caring, and Integrity are important to you!If your qualifications meet the requirements of the job and you want to be part of a winning culture, don't delay!
