Description/Notes Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
Qualifications Education/Certification Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
Demonstrated competency in agricultural science
Special Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to develop relationships and maintain consistent contact with student, parents, and colleagues
Ability to support students with computer set-up, navigation, and technology issues
Experience Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
Salary Range Starting at $52,100
Benefits MFISD offers a comprehensive benefits package to employees. TRS-ActiveCare participants can choose from three medical plan options, with MFISD contributing $484 towards their monthly medical premiums. Additionally, employees receive a $10,000 Basic Life Insurance Policy at no cost. Optional plans available for purchase include dental, vision, disability, critical illness, hospital indemnity, healthcare FSA, among others.
