Registered Nurse (RN) - OR
This RN works in the operating room, preparing and assisting with surgical procedures, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring patient safety throughout perioperative phases.
The role involves collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to optimize outcomes.
Assist with patient positioning, equipment setup, and sterile technique for procedures.
monitor patient status before, during, and after anesthesia.
Administer perioperative medications as ordered and document intraoperative events.
Provide updates to the surgical team and participate in post-anesthesia handoffs.
ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
Current RN license valid in the state of employment.
Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) preferred
Experience in perioperative nursing or operating room support; familiarity with sterile processing and patient safety protocols.
OR or ambulatory surgery center experience
Experience with anesthesia handoff and intraoperative monitoring
variable shift lengths depending on the surgical schedule.
Documentation occurs in the perioperative record within the hospital EHR system.
