Summit is the busiest Level III Trauma hospital in Tennessee. We float to all nursing areas when there is a staffing need to include: Inpatient Rehab, Med-Surg, PCU, ICU, and ER. Once nurses gain at least 1-2 years of acute care experience, Float Pool provides a great growth opportunity to work in all departments throughout our facility. Float Pool nurses need to be flexible, have strong clinical skills, good time management, and sound critical thinking abilities.

As a Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." Assess plans and evaluate the patients care needs and will carry out physician orders.

Instruct and educate patients and families as part of part of a Multidisciplinary Care Planning team.

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred
