Job Summary:

Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a magnet-designated facility located in Alaska. The role involves providing specialized obstetric care within a high-risk antepartum unit, supporting both routine and emergent obstetrical cases. The assignment begins on 10/19/2026 and runs through 04/19/2027, with an emphasis on delivering quality patient care and collaboratng with interdisciplinary teams.

Job Details:

Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts

Schedule: 36 hours per week minimum

Required Qualifications: Valid Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); at least 0 years of recent obstetric nursing experience; minimum one year preferred; experience with obstetric assessments, high-risk antepartum, and labor and delivery procedures; charting experience required using Epic system.

Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience or willingness to train as charge; experience with high-risk obstetric cases, sterile speculum exams, and obstetric emergencies such as postpartum hemorrhage or pre-eclampsia.

Additional Information: The unit manages an average of 7 daily deliveries with peaks up to 14, including inductions and high-risk cases. Candidates should be comfortable floating within scope to similar units if needed. No on-call required; every other weekend work expected. Candidates must have a valid license in hand for automatic offer; pending licenses accepted but must be available at start. Must be willing to work on major holidays, with two out of three (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year). Employment is region-specific, with a 50-mile radius requirement. References covering at least one year within the last three years are required.

Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours each, a minimum of 36 hours per week from 10/19/2026 to 04/19/2027.
