Maintain proper inventory levels of wines, other beverages and supplies
Order supplies through SW systems
Set up items on Stratton Warren, Purchase, Inventory and Master List
Train employees on wine and beverages service and knowledge
Supervise junior sommeliers on their performance
Enforce proper beverage service standards of all employees during service
Direct and engage in wine service during restaurant service hours
Manage POS systems with pricing, maintenance issues to ensure checks can be processed correctly
Taste and evaluate wines and other beverages for potential purchase
Maintain a level of professionalism that will make guests want to return
Work as a team member, assisting all guests, and employees' needs and inquiries
Effectively communicate with management, chefs and culinary staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other employees
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications:
At least a Level 2 Sommelier Certificate preferred
At least five (5) years of gourmet food and beverage service experience preferred
Must be (21) years of age
Must be polished, professional, friendly, dynamic, and able to multitask and take initiative in a VIP driven and guest service focused environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Dedicated and willing to go above and beyond
Maintains a "sense of urgency" attitude for the completion of responsibilities/task
Must be able to obtain work documents as required by specific positions. Health Card, Alcohol Awareness Card etc.
Must be fluent in the English language, both written and oral. Multilingual skills are a plus
Has strong interpersonal, communication skills and hospitality driven attitude
