About Jefferson Radiology Jefferson Radiology is the largest radiology practice group in Connecticut, operating ten imaging centers across central Connecticut and partnering with multiple regional hospitals.
Position Summary Performs mammography (and X‑ray/fluoro as applicable) using proper positioning, technique selection, and equipment protocols.
Ensures accurate patient identification, reviews orders/requisitions, and documents history in compliance with American College of Radiology standards.
Operates and manages imaging systems (RIS/PACS), verifying image quality, proper labeling, and successful transmission.
Maintains strict quality assurance and radiation safety practices, including ALARA principles and regulatory compliance.
Desired Professional Skills and Experience Graduate of a recognized AMA Council of Education program in radiologic technology.
Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.State certification as Medical Radiologic Technologist (M.Mammography certification and current CPR and AED certification.
Two years of experience in general diagnostic radiology desired.
Benefits and Compensation Competitive hourly rate of $37-$49.50, with final determination based on education, experience, certifications, and location.
