Envision is seeking a highly skilled Principal DevOps Engineer to join our team in Annapolis Junction, Maryland.
As a Principal DevOps Engineer, you will lead the design, automation, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications.
Design, deploy, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
Lead DevOps initiatives across development, testing, staging, and production environments
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management solutions using tools such as Ansible and Puppet
Manage and optimize Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-based environments
Develop automation scripts and tools using Python, Ruby, Java, or similar languages
Support software development teams through the full application lifecycle
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve operational efficiency
Serve as a technical leader within Agile development teams
Collaborate across engineering, security, and operations teams to drive continuous improvement
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)

• 10+ years of DevOps, Systems Engineering, or related experience
• Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS)
• AWS cloud environments
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies

Experience with Python, Go, Java, Ruby, C++, or similar programming languages
Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN)
Experience supporting Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments
Security Clearance:

~ The projected compensation range for this position is $215,000.00-$224,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location , education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
