Senior Software Engineering

A top-tier multi-strategy hedge fund is expanding its engineering organization and seeking a Senior Software Engineer for its Technology and Quantitative Strategies team.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain systems to calculate and manage margin requirements, financing interest, and funding costs across asset classes.

Design and build scalable systems for near real-time trade processing and portfolio optimization.

Collaborate with a global team of software engineers, quantitative researchers, portfolio finance professionals, and trading teams to deliver robust solutions.

Improve the performance and resilience of existing services and optimize data access patterns.

Maintain an open, curious, and ownership-oriented approach to all aspects of treasury systems and workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in a professional software development environment.
• Working experience with Python, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud technologies is a plus.
• Familiarity with relational database systems and SQL, such as Oracle Database or PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of global portfolio financing/funding, trading workflows, or post-trade lifecycle processes is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global team members.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
