Our mission is to deliver exceptional care with integrity, and we're seeking a dynamic and energetic Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team!
We're looking for a dedicated COTA to support licensed occupational therapists in delivering high-quality therapy services to skilled nursing and long-term care residents. As a COTA, you will help clients achieve their functional goals and improve their quality of life. This position offers flexible scheduling to accommodate your availability, and a chance to make a meaningful difference in patients' recovery journeys.
Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
Document care activities accurately in medical records while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and medical terminology standards
Assist with patient transport within facilities or to external appointments, ensuring safe handling and communication throughout the process
Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program
Prior experience working in acute care, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of medical imaging procedures, care documentation standards, and medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy
Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or disabilities requiring specialized interventions
Familiarity with inpatient or outpatient therapy protocols, including pediatrics and occupational health environments
This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Clearinghouse in accordance with Florida law. As a COTA at Sapphire Shores Health and Rehab, you'll be part of a compassionate team committed to empowering patients through expert occupational therapy services.
