WAREHOUSE INVENTORY PERSON

Warehouse ReceivingJob Summary: The Warehouse Receiving Associate will be responsible for receiving and stocking inventory through the operation of a reach truck, order picker, counterbalance forklift, pallet jack, and hand cart. The person will accurately sort, count, and inspect all incoming purchase orders, return authorizations, and intercompany transfers. Will utilize company WMS and scan devices to receive product. Will assist management in tracking inventory and optimizing warehouse space. Will work closely with purchasing and customer service on researching purchase orders and return authorizations. Will work in tandem with accounts payable to ensure all time based discounts are being taken advantage of.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:Accurately receives and stocks product according to the established guidelinesCount, sort, and verify all quantities of incoming inventoryUtilizes the Warehouse Management System to receive all productUpkeeps the warehouse through daily cleaning and housekeepingOperates pallet jacks, tape guns, hand carts, and forklifts when necessaryMaintain the safety and security of the warehouseMinimum Education and/or Experience:High School diploma or GED1 year of high-volume distribution warehouse experienceAbility to be trained and certified on powered industrial equipment.Experience in receiving or quality assurance rolesReliable transportation to and from workSuccess Factors:Strong work ethic with attention to detailConsistent attendance and the ability to be on timeAbility to work independentlyProblem solver who is always looking to innovate and try new thingsDependability, follows instructions, responds to management direction, takes responsibility for own actionsAbility to count, interpret packing lists, and operate computers independentlyPhysical Demands: Able to lift up to 50-60 pounds.
