In this position the applicant will provide eligibility evaluations for children referred to the NC Infant-Toddler Program.

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay

$34.35 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

Temporary Position Details

This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). Note: Permanent and time‑limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time‑limited position in order to work in a temporary position. All temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.

Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job. OSHR supports the Governor's Job Ready initiative and seeks to expand a temporary's skill set to enhance their qualifications for State government and private sector jobs. Exposure to an agency's culture, processes, procedures, and potential learning opportunities can provide valuable experience to those who may seek permanent employment with the state.

Considerable knowledge of family and group dynamics and a range of intervention techniques, as well as principles of casework and training.

Considerable knowledge of treatment planning.

Considerable knowledge of governmental and private organizations, resources in the community, laws, regulations, and policies which govern the program.

Thorough knowledge of social work principles, techniques, and practices, and their application to complex casework, group work, and community problems.

Ability to supervise, train, or instruct lower‑level social workers or students in the program.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with members of case load and their families as well as civic, legal, social, and religious organizations.

Master’s degree from an appropriately accredited school of social work. Necessary special qualification requirements – One must fulfill all requirements for licensure in North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as required by the North Carolina Social Work Certification and Licensure Board.
