Description:
The position requires a registered nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery.
The nurse will work three 12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30.
There is a high patient volume in this department, with approximately 450 deliveries per month.
Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is mandatory.
Nurses must possess skills in IV starts and have extensive experience in Labor and Delivery.
Candidates should have experience with the Epic charting system.
The role may require floating to other units as necessary.
Knowledge in various areas such as administration of blood products, postpartum care, and fetal heart monitoring is crucial.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in handling high-risk pregnancies and multiple births.
A strong understanding of pain management and the management of complications during labor and delivery is essential.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within an interdisciplinary team are required.
