Responsible for providing high quality intra - and interfacility advanced life support including assessment, triage, treatment and transport utilizing standards and guidelines established by the State of Texas and Methodist Healthcare Medical Director(s). The Paramedic will be responsible for carrying out the mission of Methodist Healthcare, Methodist Medical Transport Team, and goals of assuring that safety remains the highest priority throughout the patient care continuum.

Advanced patient assessment and monitoring

Advanced clinical interventions including but not limited to: mechanical ventilation, medication infusions and advanced airway management within the scope of practice

Safe and efficient inter/intra-facility transport

Participation in continuous quality improvement initiatives and continuing education

Responsible for completion and submission of electronic patient care record for each dispatched transport within the specified time frame

Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility maintaining thorough patient care documentation.

Education: High School Diploma

• Experience: Minimum 3 years as a Paramedic.
• Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required:
• Current Texas Paramedic-P, EMT-P, or NREMP-P •
