Travel Nurse RN - NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care) - San Antonio, Texas

Overview
MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in San Antonio, Texas. The assignment starts on 06/29/2026, lasts 13 weeks, and requires 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts. The role is a travel position that will have you providing direct patient care and collaborating with the neonatal care team.

Responsibilities

Provide direct and specialized care for newborns needing close monitoring due to premature birth, birth defects, infection, or other medical conditions that may require surgery or therapy.

Work with doctors and other healthcare professionals in the neonatal intensive care unit.

Assist in developing and implementing a plan of care for high‑risk newborns requiring high‑technology care, including ventilators, incubators, or other special equipment or surgery.

Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to deliver effective and efficient nursing care under supervision.

Maintain compliance with nursing standards and applicable policies.

Qualifications

Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care NICU setting.

Active RN license.

BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.

Degree from an accredited nursing program.

Other client‑facility specific requirements.
