Florida Orthopaedic Institute Surgery Center-Cypress is an Ambulatory Surgery Center in Tampa, Florida.
Ambulatory surgery centres (or outpatient surgery centres) are healthcare facilities where surgical procedures not requiring an overnight hospital stay are performed.
Preoperative Postoperative PACU Registered Nurse Responsibilities:

Monitoring pre and post-operative patients' levels of consciousness during recovery from anesthesia.
Closely observing patients for signs of side effects of anesthesia medication.
Treating pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms of anesthesia.
Updating charts, patient files, and medical records.
Collaborating with the medical team on post-operative patient care and facilitating timely specialised interventions.
Educating patients and their families on pre and post-surgery care, as well as answering questions.
Demonstrate and promote positive customer relationships with the medical staff, patients and their families, and with other employees.
Attend educational and mandatory in-services, Quality Assurance activities, Infection Control activities and participate in department staff meetings.
Accountable to support and uphold the Facility’s mission in all aspects.
Adhere to and monitor all OSHA Safety Standards throughout the Facility and grounds.
