Registered Nurse PreOp PostOp - PRNDurango Outpatient Surgery Center is seeking a Registered Nurse PreOp PostOp -PRN to join the team! Durango Outpatient Surgery Center is a fast-paced Ambulatory Surgery Center committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. We have 5 operating rooms offering a full range of surgical procedures including: Bariatrics, Colorectal, General Surgery/Robotics, GI, OB/Gynecology, Sports Medicine, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Podiatry, and Spine.The Registered Nurse PreOp PostOp provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, including conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.The PRN work requirement is at least 6 shifts/month. The regular work schedule for this position consists of variable hours, Monday through Friday, during the day shift. Flexibility in scheduling is required to ensure adequate coverage and support for departmental operations.Monday-Friday work scheduleNO call requiredNO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hoursRequired Skills:Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license to practice in NVMust be a graduate of an accredited school of nursingMust have 2+ years of critical care experienceExperience in Ambulatory Surgical Center is preferredMust have current BLS, ALS and PALS accredited by AHAMust possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patientUnderstanding of aseptic techniques and their implementationAbility to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when neededMust be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physiciansWe are part of a much larger team with United Surgical Partners International (USPI).
