Temporary Machinist

our strength starts with our people! We are seeking a Machinist to join our Maintenance team at our Pueblo, Colorado location. The machinist will machine, disassemble, and assemble parts for equipment and machines in a safe manner. Use lathes, milling machines, vertical and horizontal boring mills, shapers/slotter machines, surface and cylindrical grinders, radial drill presses, appropriate hand, power and measuring tools, radio‑controlled overhead cranes, forklifts, presses and all other shop equipment

Work bench‑floor & field work, including alignments

Utilize materials which include castings, forgings, bar stock flats and rounds

Read prints and drawings, layout and plan work according to blueprints, and select proper materials and machines necessary for precision machining of product

Test, inspect, dismantle, assemble and repair machined product accurately while making provisions for handling of materials, equipment and tools when needed

Keep work area and equipment clean and orderly

Work in both inside and outside environmental conditions, while exposed to elevated noise levels, oils, solvents, and oil‑based products, extreme cold and heat; close proximity to moving parts, chips, shavings, scale, and sharp tools

Obtain and maintain OSHA 10 and equipment certifications, as required

Machinist Apprenticeship, AAS degree in Machining Technology or equivalent in an applicable field

Ability to perform installation and set‑up of “Class 5” bearings & Babbitt Bearing Fits

Must be a self‑starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision and manage time when given multiple tasks

Qualified candidates will be required to demonstrate proficiency through testing

28.37 to $32.97 per hour with incremental hourly
