POSITION PURPOSE
The Certified Respiratory Therapist is responsible for all aspects of patient care ensuring that cardiovascular and respiratory care is rendered to patients in accordance with the NBRC and hospital standards. Provide consultation, instruction and technical direction to medical, nursing and other staff members.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education
~ Graduate of AMA approved school of respiratory care with required didactic and clinical experience with all patient populations.
Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes
~ Communication skills; teach/instruct; technical and clinical expertise; manual and finger dexterity; mechanically inclined.
Licenses/Certificates
Licensed by the State of Pennsylvania; Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS;
ACLS, BLS, and PALS required and must be completed prior to end of orientation period.
