Phlebotomist II

As a Phlebotomist II, you will play a crucial role in assisting with various duties including troubleshooting, training, and providing workflow recommendations. Your primary function will be to collect and store specimens according to established procedures while maintaining a high level of professionalism and care.

Perform blood draws and label specimens accurately.

Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.

Clearly and courteously explain the venipuncture process and other specimen collection procedures.

Verify test requisitions or computer labels against scripts for 100% accuracy.

Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.

At least 1 year of experience in specimen collection and customer service.

Strong skills in phlebotomy, blood draw, and venipuncture.

The work environment is fast-paced, typically in a lab or hospital setting, where you will use various technologies and equipment to collect and handle specimens. The role requires adherence to safety and regulatory standards, with a focus on maintaining the integrity of specimens during transport and storage.

This is a Contract position based out of South Burlington, VT.
