The Machine Shop is responsible for providing support to development, engineering and manufacturing. This support includes both internal fabrication and modification of mechanical components./ppWe are a small team seeking a skilled machinist who has good communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be capable of high quality work on a variety of machine shop equipment and must be a team player with a can do attitude. We offer competitive pay and great benefits in a friendly, professional and challenging work environment./ph3Qualifications/h3pstrongRequired Education, Skills Experience/strong/pulliMinimum of 4 - 6 years of related experience and a High school diploma/Secondary education or equivalent; vocational training and/or on-the-job training/liliComfortable working with all general shop equipment (i.e. grinders, saws, drills etc.)/liliSafety conscious and capable of inspecting own work/liliPlan jobs/set-ups, to a high degree of accuracy/liliPerform accurate inspections and verification/liliAbility to interpret drawings, charts, sketches, specifications, and other documentation for parts to be machined/liliStrong mechanical and technical abilities/experience/liliKnowledge of the machining properties of various materials/liliAbility to work as a team member and supervise others as needed/li/ulpstrongPreferred Skills Experience/strong/pulliAbility to program setup/operate ProtoTRAK mill and lathe/liliExperience with CNC and manual mill and lathe/liliDemonstrated ability to assist in job planning, scheduling and training of other team members/liliAbility to interpret and understand technical drawings and CAD files/liliExperience operating band saws and other shop equipment/liliCapable of assisting in fabricating prototype components and assemblies in support of product development with other team members/liliModify production materials as required per rework instructions/liliMastercam programming experience/li/ul/div
