Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) / Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) - Night Shift
This is a 13-week contract position.
Shift: 3x12 Hour Night Shift (18:30 - 07:00)
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to join our team for a night shift position. This role involves providing respiratory care to patients across various age groups in a 325-bed short-term acute care facility.
Responsibilities
Administer respiratory therapy procedures and interventions in compliance with protocols.
Perform diagnostic procedures and evaluate patients' pulmonary status.
Participate in patient care and team meetings as part of the interdisciplinary support team.
Provide care to patients including neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Handle special procedures and use specialized respiratory equipment as required.
Ensure proper documentation and charting in the EPIC system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy.
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and either CRT or RRT.
Ability to float between like units as needed.
Mask fitting and knowledge in procedures such as Cheyne-Stokes, Periodic Breathing, End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, and O2 Saturation assessment are required.
