Director of Operations
Under the general guidance of the Production Manager and the Director of Finance, the Buyer reviews and analyzes purchase requisitions. Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner. Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity.

Increases the effectiveness and efficiency of Materials Management (Purchasing, Shipping, Receiving, Warehousing) and Service and Support areas through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between functions
Assist in Creating, developing and implementing supply chain strategies for competitive costs and supplier execution excellence
Manages the issuance of purchase orders, ensuring the inclusion of required specifications, prices, terms and conditions by performing the duties personally or through assistant personnel
Captures and reports supply chain metrics
Procure material to meet on-time requirements and avoid negative fiscal impact to schedules due to delays or cancellations
Effective planning, organization, and time management skills
Information technology skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MRP/ERP systems
Advanced Excel skills required
Understanding/Experience in High Mix purchasing activities which include purchase of custom PWB, CCA, Machined componentry as well as working with Distributors and OEMs
Familiar with Contract manufacturing and Outside Processing activities
Travel
This position requires 0-5% travel.
3+ years’ experience in purchasing, Military and Aerospace Electronics experience a plus or equivalent education and experience.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, or closely related program
• Excellent project management skills
