Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified professional to join our team in a role centered in the Emergency Department (ED). This position involves providing care for inpatient-level patients held in the ED, particularly those requiring Cardiac Intermediate Care.
Shift Details
Shift Type: Day 3x12-Hour
Shift Hours: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend
Orientation and training will be provided.
Required Skills, Certifications, and Experience
Specialty: Emergency Department Surge
Years of Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years, preferably with a strong Patient Care Unit (PCU) background within the last year.
ED Experience: Preferred but not required; first-timers are accepted with 2 years of relevant experience and EPIC proficiency.
Certifications Required:

ACLS

BLS

EKG test upon arrival

Patient Care Responsibilities
As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including but not limited to:
Chest Pain
Syncope
Heart Failure
Sepsis
Overdose
GI Bleed

COPD

Pneumonia
Special Procedures and Unit Details
The role requires managing and titrating various medication drips, such as:
Lasix
Heparin
Cardizem
Amiodarone
Nitroglycerin
Integrillin
Labattolol
Dopamine
Dobutamine
Additional equipment includes:
BiPAP

CPAP

Vapotherm
Alaris Pumps
Philips Monitoring System
Location
This position is located in New Hampshire .
Additional Information
The role involves a team nursing approach and may require floating to similar units.
You will assist with patient sitting and collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams.
