Behavioral Health Inpatient / Psychiatric Nursing

Adult and Geriatric Behavioral Health Units

Shift: 12-hour nights

Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 - $1,770

every other holiday and every third weekend required

Current RN license in the state of assignment or compact eligibility

At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required

Behavioral health, mental health, or psychiatric nursing experience preferred

CPI training required or must be completed onsite before direct patient care

Strong communication, de-escalation, and therapeutic relationship-building skills

Ability to work with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations

Provide comprehensive nursing care using assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation

Maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu for patients with behavioral health needs

Complete and document physical and behavioral health assessments accurately

Participate in discharge planning and ongoing care coordination

Monitor patient responses to interventions and revise the plan of care as needed

Advocate for patients while promoting dignity, respect, and compassionate care
