Must-Have:
Advanced skills needed: ACLS, familiarity with cardiac and insulin drips
Description:
Unit has 29 beds.
Patient ratios are ideally 1:4 but currently running at 1:5.
Unit staffing includes unit secretaries and patient care technicians.
Equipped with Alaris IV pumps, Welch Allyn vital signs machines, bladder scan, and vein finder.
Documentation system used is Meditech.
Scheduling requires a commitment of 36 hours per week.
All staff may float to areas of their competencies.
Candidates must provide safe, high-quality, and compassionate care.
Dress code mandate is royal blue scrubs; no artificial or gel nails.
Vital signs must be checked every 4 hours, or more frequently based on patient condition.
Blood glucose checks to be performed as ordered.
Required documentation and assessment every shift.
Staff in the unit are known for their cohesion and teamwork.
Self-scheduling is available, especially for candidates preferring night shifts.
