RN Medical Surgery NIGHTS

Vascular Access Team RN provides high-acuity vascular access care, including ultrasound-guided IV placement and management of complex IV therapy needs. This role supports safe line placement, troubleshooting, dressing changes, and appropriate escalation to maintain continuity of care.

Perform ultrasound-guided IV access and strong independent peripheral IV placement at the bedside.

Manage PICC care by assessing sites, completing dressing changes, and administering TPA as needed.

Troubleshoot IV, PICC, and port function, including line issues requiring urgent evaluation.

Access and support port care, including flushes and coordination of ongoing vascular access needs.

Float as required to place PIVs, draw blood as backup, and assist with device support tasks.

Document all clinical activities accurately using Epic systems.

Hold an active RN license and current BLS certification.

Possess at least 2 years of direct experience in vascular access, infusion, or related specialty care.

Demonstrate IV ultrasound guidance experience with strong IV insertion and troubleshooting skills.

Have large trauma Level 1 experience within the last year.

Show Epic experience within the past 2 years (required).
