Job Summary

A Staff Physical Therapist will be responsible for performing general daily operations of the physical department primarily involving direct patient care. This individual provides physical therapy services to inpatients, outpatients and home care clients in accordance with an established plan of care. This includes evaluation, assessment, treatment program planning and implementation, related documentation, education and communication. He/she is also responsible for supervision of physical therapy assistants, rehab aids and students in accordance with the Iowa Physical Therapy Practice Act. He/she may be responsible to provide physical therapy consultations to outreach facilities. Full-Time hours.

Education/Requirements/Knowledge/Skills

Completion of Physical Therapist program at an accredited institution

Reference chapter 201 of the Practice Act

A minimum of one year is preferred, but not required.

Must have very good interpersonal skills.

Must have the ability to be an autonomous decision maker.

Must have the ability to work with multicultural and multigenerational customers.

Must exhibit a desire for professional growth and development by demonstrating the willingness to learn, improve job skills and knowledge and educate supportive personnel.

Must have a valid Iowa Driver's License.

Ability to work flexible hours.

Must have basic computer skills.

Maintains certification for assigned work area.
