Day Shift (United States of America)

Genesis Oxygen & Sleep Therapy (GOST)

To provide respiratory care to customers in the retail and home setting for N.Will instruct and evaluate patients on equipment and provide feedback to physicians. Will be responsible for the training and evaluation of delivery technicians for respiratory equipment.

Bipap therapy

Aerosol therapy (nebulizer and continuous therapy)

Tracheostomy air compressor set ups

Equipment troubleshooting

Prior authorizations

Confirmation and billing

Scanning

Oxygen re-qualification testing

  1. Responsible for maintaining accurate records in patient's respiratory files to include doctor's orders, test results, patient information, plan
  2. Responsible for training and evaluation of delivery technicians for respiratory equipment.
  3. Responsible for working with billing staff to provide information for CMN's to facilitate appropriate and timely billing.

7) Will serve as a back-up and resource person to on-call delivery technician

Graduate of an accredited respiratory program, either certified or registered, and hold a current Ohio license.

Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to the age of the patients served.

Must be able to perform the essential duties of a respiratory care professional.

Ability to communicate effectively with the customer, physician and other employees.

Thorough understanding of current standards that drive respiratory care and sleep medicine.

Computer proficiencies to enter, assemble, organize and retrieve data, analyze, and integrate data from diverse sources. Performs work in a manner that is quality focused.

  • Always makes the effort to anticipate and exceed customer needs and expectations
  • Patient Centered Care for (Patients, Families, Physicians, Co-workers, and all internal/external customers):
  • Maintains the dignity and privacy of each person managing confidential/sensitive information appropriately
  • Exits patient/customer encounters courteously, asking if there are additional needs that can be addressed

Demonstrates safe Patient Handling (i.e. transfers, transport, care administration, nutrition, medication, etc.)

  • Demonstrates safe Materials Handling (i.e. appropriate use and disposal of chemicals, infectious wastes, etc.)
  • Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of Infectious Disease precautions and use of proper protective equipment
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Works in an office environment but is required to visit patient homes on a regular basis.

Answers phone calls, uses computer and other business machines extensively which requires the ability to apply finger dexterity.

May be required to periodically rotate shifts and regular days off. All system employees must be willing to work all shifts, extra hours, holidays and emergency shifts as required.
