Junior Mechanical Engineer

Allient Inc. is currently in growth mode and seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Salem, Oregon!

The Junior Mechanical Engineer will be a part of the company's core Engineering team! We're looking for a motivated Junior Mechanical Engineer to work directly alongside an experienced mechanical engineer in a hands-on product development environment. This isn't a large corporate engineering role where you'll spend months doing one small task. You'll be involved in every phase of the engineering process—from concept through manufacturing. Create and modify 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks

Assist with product design and mechanical assemblies

Prepare manufacturing drawings and engineering documentation

Support prototype builds and testing

Work with machine shops and manufacturing partners

Help troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues

Learn practical engineering methods used in real-world product development

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or graduating within the next few months)

• Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Experience with machining or fabrication
• Experience creating engineering drawings
• 3D printing or prototype experience
• Internship or Formula SAE, Baja, robotics, or similar engineering project experience
