Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Operating Room position requiring flexibility across multiple surgical service lines and participation in call and weekend shifts.
Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room unit
• Supports multiple service lines including General, Neuro, Ortho, and Robotics surgeries
• 13-week assignment with a scheduled shift of 09:00-21:30
• Requires flexibility to work weekends
• Requires participation in on-call rotation

Requirements

Active RN license (SC or Compact) currently in hand
Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA only)
Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
Nursys verification required within 30 days of start
Primary source license/certificate verification required with copy of state-specific registry
Additional Information

Perform circulating and scrub duties, including prepping the OR and positioning patients for procedures
Complete Safe Surgery checklist verification and maintain accurate, timely documentation
Serve as communication liaison between the surgical team and patient families
Delegate and supervise team members while executing urgent interventions as needed
Assist with control and maintenance of surgical supplies and equipment
Demonstrate computer proficiency for patient care documentation systems
