The College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources ( CASNR ) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln prepares the next generation of leaders to address local, national, and global challenges in food, agriculture, natural resources, and communities.

As a Recruitment Specialist, you will:
Recruit undergraduate students to the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources ( CASNR ).
Assist with implementation of a communication and marketing strategy to Nebraska 4-H participants and collect data to measure plan effectiveness.
Attend Extension-sponsored youth events/field days/other activities like Connecting the Dots and the Nebraska State Fair, Next Chapter, and participate in monthly “Beyond the Clover” 4-H Youth Development Zoom calls led by the Associate Dean/State 4-H Program Leader.
Collaborate with Extension staff on recruitment efforts. Initiate and maintain positive relationships with Nebraska Extension and 4-H professionals, alumni and other organizations to recruit qualified students.
Initiate and maintain personal contact with qualified prospective students and related public throughout the recruitment and enrollment process.

Frequent travel and evening/weekend work required.

Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, natural resources, science, education, marketing, or public relations/communications related field plus two years of public relations, recruitment, student services, sales, marketing, agriculture, natural resources, science, or related field experience required.
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required. Subject to DOT approved pre-employment & random testing for alcohol and controlled substances.
